“But who has any right to find fault with a man who chooses to enjoy a pleasure that has no annoying consequences, or one who avoids a pain that produces no resultant pleasure?”
Quick, what is this from? Oh surely you’ve laid eyes on it many a time… C’mon now, it’s your old friend, Generic Latin Placeholder Text:
“Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Duis pharetra libero non diam…”
Heady stuff, this QuarkXpress fodder. Apparently it’s from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of “de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum” (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. Now does that lend some gravitas* (not to mention spice) to those tedious mockups, or what? Want more? Need a few yards of the stuff? Go here.
* Official overused word of the month.
