Two drinks today! It’s a hump-day happy hour here at jillennium:
Cable Car
- 2 oz. rum
- 1 oz. Cointreau1/3 ounce lemon juice
garnish lemon twist, cinnamon dusting
Shake with ice and serve ‘up’ (martini glass). Wet rim of a glass with lemon, then coat with a sugar and cinnamon mixture. Captain Morgan’s Spiced Rum recommended. (This is a creation of the Sir Francis Drake Hotel in SF, a rum Sidecar of sorts.)
Pomegranate Martini
- 2 oz. Absolut Kurant
- 1 oz. pomegranate juice
- 1/2 oz. triple sec/Cointreau
garnish lemon twistShake with ice and serve ‘up.’ Leave out the last ingredient if you want it drier, substitute juice or liquor as desired. In autumn, garnish with some jewel-like pomegranate arils (seeds) at the bottom. (Karen drinks these in her limo on Will & Grace, recipe is version of what I imagine it might be.)
